About me | Naiá Prado

My journey towards health and wellbeing

My name is Naiá Prado and I was born in Brazil in January 1985. I received an education based on the values of anthroposophy and Eastern philosophy from India. My whole life has been guided by strong values centred on caring for the body and mind.

My purpose: To find the path to health and wellbeing

To offer tools and a space where people can get to know themselves, tap into their own wisdom and courage, and enjoy life with awareness and good health. This is what I consider to be the best path to achieving true health and wellbeing.

Connection

An attentive, caring and loving gaze upon the uniqueness of each individual. A commitment to seeing the person beyond their symptoms or posture.

Respect

The peace of mind that comes from knowing there is support and no judgement. A safe space to explore the body, experiment and move freely until one finds their own centre.

Mindfulness

The practice of being fully present in the moment. Learning to listen to the body in the here and now in order to live with greater clarity and holistic well-being.

Empowerment

Embracing one’s own wisdom and courage. Providing tools so that each person can take charge of their own health and live in harmony with their nature with vitality.

My studies and training

My story

A lifetime dedicated to the study of the body and the spirit has taught me that when we engage with the physical structure with true presence, the mind yields and emotions are set free.

  1. Background and Spirituality

I was born in Brazil in January 1985, in an environment rooted in the values of anthroposophy and Eastern philosophy. From a very young age, I was introduced to meditation and studied classical Indian dance. As a teenager, I began practising yoga asanas and, at the age of 22, I had a transformative experience at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Ganeshpuri, India, deepening my spiritual journey through devotional service.

  2. Childhood and spirituality

I graduated with a degree in Physical Education and trained as a yoga teacher. I subsequently completed specialisations in Psychomotor Development, Body Therapy and Energy Centres, and Non-Violent Communication. Thanks to this training, I have been able to develop an authentic way of caring for and inspiring those I support, with a deep understanding of the connection between body, mind and energy.

  3. Early experiences

My first work experiences involved teaching aquagym and body awareness classes for older adults, as well as dance, physical expression, gymnastics and swimming for children. These experiences led me to specialise in psychomotor skills and to create the ‘respire+’ programme, designed for children through games and stories, which was run for two years at a swimming school in São Paulo.

  4. International experience

I lived in Australia, where I taught yoga classes at Curtin University and open-group sessions on the beach, as well as gaining a qualification as a Project Manager. I then travelled around South-East Asia, training in Thai therapeutic massage in Thailand and broadening my knowledge of wellbeing and care for the body and mind.

  5. Creating my own space

In 2012, I opened my first yoga and massage studio in Brazil, A Casa do Portão Amarelo, which I moved to Barcelona in 2013 as Comcura Studio – a welcoming space where I could share my knowledge as an educator and therapist, and continue to explore my curiosity about the human being. In 2015, I formalised my work in the field of adult therapy, collaborating on private sessions and with other therapists. In 2017, I also practised at the Cowshed spa, part of the Soho House group.

  6. Motherhood and the present

My greatest learning journey began in 2018 with the birth of my daughter Mar, as I consciously embraced motherhood and self-care. Today, having spent years dedicated to supporting people and their wellbeing, I feel ready to embark on new chapters, share what I have learnt and continue to create meaningful experiences.
